Originally from Greenville North Carolina, he is a graduate of J.H. Rose, Sr. High School and the twelfth child of the late Alfred (a Professional Lawn Care Owner) and Lena Reeves (a Stay At Home Mom). As a little boy he became interested in politics partly as a result of his father’s outstanding longtime lawn care business relationship with Dr. John P. East (Professor, Politician) who became U.S. Senator John P. East (R-NC). As U.S. Senator, Dr. East (R-NC) continued his outstanding longtime business relationship with his father .

Nicknamed “ETR,” is a retired United States Army Communications Officer (Signal Corps, U.S. Army Pentagon) entrepreneur, and business owner.

In November 2017, he ran for Mayor of Greenville, North Carolina, but was defeated by City Council Member PJ Connelly.
In May 2018, he ran for the newly created North Carolina House District 8 Seat, Pitt County, North Carolina, but was defeated by Acting Mayor and former Greenville City Council Member Kandie Smith.
In April 2019, he ran in the special Democratic Primary for the U.S. House District 3, but was defeated by two-time Former Mayor Democratic Candidate Allen Thomas.
In November 2019, he ran for City Council, Pitt County, North Carolina but was defeated by longtime Democratic Incumbent City Council Member Rose Glover.
In March of 2020, he ran for Governor of North Carolina, but was defeated by former Attorney General (North Carolina) and incumbent Governor Roy Cooper.
In May 2022, he ran as a new Republican Candidate in the Republican Primary for U.S. House North Carolina District 1 but was defeated by Republican Candidate Sandy Smith.
